We provide the full range of exchanger maintenance services. We can provide these services during a turnaround/outage event or on a routine schedule so that the maintenance is performed while the plant is still operating.

Fast Draw^SM Extractor

With a well-documented track record for substantially improved safety and reduced manpower requirements, P2S’ remote-controlled Fast Draw^SM  system extracts, loads, unloads and reinserts heat exchanger bundles up to 23 tons in less than one hour.

A single technician operating the remote control can replace as many as six workers and cut extraction time by up to 80 percent.

Common safety hazards associated with rigging and scaffolding are eliminated and the automated process reduces the likelihood of damage to the bundle tubes.

The work is done in one continuous pull using a carriage frame and pulling sled to remove the bundles from their shells. Once the bundle core is extracted, it is transported via a custom designed dolly from the processing unit to a designated cleaning area.

Fast Draw unit can extract a 23 ton exchanger at a pulling force of 50 tons. The exchanger can range up to 6 feet in diameter and be up to 26 feet long and located anywhere from one foot to 15.5 feet from ground level.

P2S' Aerial Fast Draw^SM unit was created for extracting exchangers located beyond the reach of the truck-mounted extractor.

The Aerial Fast Draw is equipped with a self-contained on-board engine for powering the functions of the extraction unit.  An adjustable frame allows for the unit to access narrow alleys for short exchangers or extend for longer ones. The hydraulically powered screw-driven push/pull sled permits maximum non-stop force when moving the exchanger and utilizes a hydraulic elevator slide plate to support the exchanger’s “free end” without the use of wedges, timbers or cribbing. This patented unit can extract exchangers weighing up to 30 tons and ranging up to six feet in diameter and 24 feet in length. Under optimal conditions this extraction unit has a pulling force of 40 tons.

Using the same patented concept as our larger Aerial Fast units, the Mini Aerial Extractor can extract a 33,000 pound exchanger that ranges up to five feet in diameter and up to eighteen feet in length.  This unit is ideal for areas in the refineries where limited space is available.

FastClean^SM - Exchanger Automated Cleaning Equipment

Experience shows that Fast Clean cuts cleaning time as much as 75 percent over traditional systems.

The patented, mobile Fast Clean unit replaces hand-held conventional hydro blasting methods through the use of remote-controlled, hydraulically advanced and retracted boom arm with cleaning lances.  This process eliminates human exposure to high-pressure water streams and the high rate of injury often associated with conventional methods.

A technician and one helper replace up to eight conventional hydro blasters and 24 workers.

The technician uses the remote control boom arm and lance machine to produce anywhere from 6,000 psi to 8,000 psi at 80 to 100 gallons per minute and provides the customer with a safe and efficient way to clean exchangers.

The eight-hole lance unit cleans an average of 2,000 tubes and the twelve-hole lance unit can clean 3,000 tubes per shift.  The shell-side cleaning of a typical bundle core can be completed in under two hours.

The Fast Clean patented hydro-lance system facilitates the internal cleaning of the exchanger tubes.  This system is attached to the Fast Clean hydraulic boom arm and can effectively clean eight or twelve tubes per minute.

To facilitate the cleaning of hard-to-reach exchangers, the Fast Clean can also provide the customer with the speed and efficiency of our eight-hole lance in a vertical form. 

Heat Exchanger Cleaning

Heat Exchanger Services - P2S ServTech^® provides a faster and safer approach for extraction and inserting heat exchanger bundles. Our patented Fast Draw™ equipment uses a single continuous pulling action for extraction of bundles weighing up to 40 tons. The bundle is then cleaned using our Fast Clean® system which requires only one operator and one technician; reducing the need for additional manpower and potential hazards associated with other more conventional systems.
