Because we take great pride in our accomplishments and in being an industry leader, we have made another bold commitment to a higher standard of excellence---ZERO INCIDENTS in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE). This is not a new program; it is an upgrade and revitalization of the original ZERO ACCIDENTS Program and is described in P2S’ HSE Management System.

 

The ZERO INCIDENTS Program reinforces P2S’ commitment to safety as the company’s foremost value, incorporates our commitment to health and environmental protection, and provides the highest level of challenge, achievement and recognition for all projects and offices worldwide.

 

The ZERO INCIDENTS Program is designed to recognize truly superior and sustained HSE performance that can be achieved only with a ZERO INCIDENTS mind-set. Reaching the ZERO INCIDENTS Program goals takes commitment, teamwork, and a dedication to excellence by every employee. Each employee is a part of our ZERO INCIDENTS process from orientation through project completion and our goal is to attain an incident-free workplace as a team.

4. New Employee Development

a. Project management participates in orientation process

b. P2S’ New Employee Development Program in place and operational.

5. HSE Awareness Program

a. Visible program promotion occurs.

b. Employees are involved.

6. Substance Abuse Program

a. Current corporate HSE issued site specific

program in place.

b. Subcontractors have approved substance abuse program/practice in place.

7. Recognition and Rewards

a. The Recognition & Reward Program is funded

appropriately

b. Incentive program to encourage participation in HSE process in place

c. Subcontractors are included in the site’s Recognition & Reward Program.

8. Incident Reporting and Investigation

a. Incidents are recordable and properly reported

b. Use corporate approved investigative methodology to investigate incidents

9. Pre-Task Planning

a. Safety Task Assignment and Post-STA fully implemented.

b. Job hazard analysis (JHA/JRA/JSA) conducted where applicable.

10. Management in Action

a. Manager or designee participates in 100% of

employee orientation.

b. Site management team participates in Adopt-A-Crew

c. Site management participates in weekly HSE assessments.

d. Site management participates in the investigation of all recordable incidents and

serious near-misses

11. Audits/Assessments

a. Corporate audit conducted within the past year - or scheduled in the upcoming year.

b. Weekly HSE assessments conducted.

12. Utilization of Networking and Resources

a. Knowledge Community participation, where available.

b. News onLine participation, where available.

c. Skill-Soft/computer based training, where available.
