The National Petrochemical & Refiners Association (NPRA) Announcement

May 19, 2008

 

The National Petrochemical & Refiners Association (NPRA) represents the United States petrochemical and refining industry. Their Annual Meeting brings together key executives and technical experts from refining and marketing corporations nationwide to create a dialogue where industry experts can facilitate the sharing of information and valuable insights regarding energy, environmental issues/initiatives, and the latest development in technology.

 

The NPRA sponsors many social events allowing key individuals and organizations to network and cultivate old and new acquaintances. At this year’s 16th Annual Safety Awards Banquet held May 7-8, 69 Regular Member companies and 61 Associate Member companies were honored for their safe work practices in accordance with OSHA record-keeping requirements.

ABC Safety Award Announcement

November 8, 2007

 

On November 8, 2007 the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Bayou Chapter held its Annual Excellence in Construction Awards Ceremony. During this ceremony, P2S was presented with the Merit Gold Award as one of the “best of the best” of merit shop projects on its NEDAK Ethanol Project, in Atkinson Nebraska. In attendance at this event was (left to right) Trey Davis, HSE Senior Specialist, Jeff Starks, Operations Manager, and Gary Karr, Vice President of the Eastern Region.

On June 12, 2007, Plant Performance Services (P2S) in Metairie, LA was recognized by The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) for its exceptional safety record in the specialty contractor category of ABC’s National Safety Excellence Awards.  Award winners are selected from ABC member firms achieving a Platinum status in ABC’s Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) program.

Safety Award Announcement

June 25, 2007

I am very honored and pleased to announce that the following safety

excellence awards were presented to P2S during the 7th Annual Greater New

Orleans Industrial Education Council (GNOIEC) Safety Excellence Awards

Banquet. P2S was well represented at this event which included other area

contractors and important clients (DOW, Chevron, ExxonMobil, First

Chemical, ConocoPhillips, Valero, Shell, Motiva, Dupont, and Monsanto).

 

P2S "stole the show" by being awarded a total of 4 out of 5 nominations for

"Best in Class" Safety Performance by ConocoPhillips Alliance Refinery and

Shell Chemical Corporation. One of the awards included Most Improved

Contractor. These awards are founded on outstanding work efforts toward

safety in the workplace. This is a significant accomplishment for P2S as we

continue our path forward promotion of our ZERO Incident culture.
